Insurance Information

I am in network with select insurance plans through Headway, including Aetna, Cigna, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, and UnitedHealthcare.

If your plan is in network, Headway handles billing directly.

For plans I am not in network with, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many clients with out-of-network benefits receive partial reimbursement, depending on their plan.

I recommend contacting your insurance provider before your first session to understand your coverage.

Questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What is my out-of-network deductible?
  • What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
  • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Investment in Your Wellbeing

Thinking about therapy can feel like a big decision, and I know it's not just about your mental wellbeing, it's also about your budget. I want to make sure you feel supported and comfortable every step of the way.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You Have The Right

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency services, including mental health services.

Get an Estimate

Request a written Good Faith Estimate from your health care provider at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask any provider for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling.

You Can Dispute

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Save a Copy

Save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
